Amity Middle School December 2019

Parent Information

Friendly Reminders: Parents, please remind your child to use the sidewalks when walking to and from the high school. When walking back from the high school in the mornings, students are not allowed to go to the store. They can go to the store before and after school, but not during school.

Dress for the Winter: With the colder weather moving in, please remind your student to wear warmer clothing.

Art Club: Holly Lanning and Mr. Larson are doing a weekly art club after school on Tuesdays. The cost is $5 for a month, which covers the supplies needed. If you are interested, please see or email Mr. Larson for more details.

6th Grade Boys Basketball: Amity Youth Sports will have forms available at the office for 6th grade boys on Monday, December 2nd. Forms are due back to the office with payment by Thursday, December 12th. If you have any questions, contact Mundana Vrell at 971-241-2467.

Canned Food Drive: During the month of December, our school collects canned food and non-perishable items for our local food bank. Before winter break, the students deliver the items.

Giving Tree: Along with the canned food drive, we also have "ornaments" on a tree in our entryway for students, parents and staff to take. By taking an ornament and purchasing the gift listed, you supply a gift to a local child. Once you purchase the gift, please return it to the office, unwrapped, with the tag you removed from the tree attached. If you have any questions, please contact the office.

Winter Spirit Week: Will begin on Monday, December 16th. Dress up days are:

Monday: Dress like Mr. Larson Day

Tuesday: Pajama Day

Wednesday: Fake Injury Day

Thursday: Ugly Sweater Day

Winter Break: Will begin on Friday, December 20th and end on Sunday, January 5th. School will resume on Monday, January 6th.
