They have fought for their voices to be heard and they have emerged as an artistic force in the music of our American heritage.
We owe these innovative and adventurous ladies a great deal for their vision and courage facing a male-dominated industry head on and with disarming finesse. Hank Williams once told Jean Sheppard "there ain't much room in this business for a woman country singer." We love you, Hank, but we have to disagree, and we are glad she did too.
