Promise of a Way Out God's Promises

1 Corinthians 10:13 - "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." (NIV)

This pressure of temptation that you are feeling is common to all of us. You're not the only one going through it. You feel alone, like you're in a private battle. Jesus wants you to know that your brothers and sisters feel that pressure too. Even Jesus himself knows what your pressure of temptation is like (Hebrews 4:15).

Don't give up hope. God has promised you a way out... a way to stand up under the temptation. You don't have to give in. He is faithful and won't let you be pushed past your breaking point.

We never trip, stumble or fall into sin. We choose it every time. We either choose God's way out or our own rebellion. The devil never forces us into sin. We choose it every time.

God has promised always to provide a way for you. Will you take it? That is the question. When faced with a temptation, simply turn to your Father. Ask him in faith for his way out. Then listen. Go with the prompting or thought that comes to you. If nothing clear comes to you, change your physical position and begin speaking out worship to Jesus. The devil's temptation and sinful urges cannot co-exist with worship, so let that be your default "way out" of any temptation.

God promised you a way out of temptation. Will you take it?
