A Period Midterm Justin Kros

Looped Letter, Sharpie on Paper
Ace, Wire, paint, and plaster on wood
Wave, paper on cut canvas
Cornucopia, paint on paper
Fourth and Oak, pencil, colored pencil, and sharpie on paper

I used the colored sign to give emphasis. It is the only color in the picture, and it is placed on a point of emphasis.

Line: the sides of the buildings, sides of the street, and the sides of the pedway.

Color: the point of emphasis consists of blue and red hues

Space: the background is clearly shown due to the receding buildings

Claude Monet

Popular Series, 1891

Point of emphasis: the building on the left side of the painting. The darker hue contrasts with the light colors in the background.

Elements seen in the painting:

Line: the outline og the building on the left of the painting.

Color: Analogous color scheme (Red, RO, Orange, YO)

Space: the building looks like it recedes into the background because it sits on the horizon line

This wordk makes me feel relaxed. I can only imagine that there is a sunset somewhere in the painting, even though the sun is not shown.
