Badge Gala 4 Update

Unfortunately we had to cancel the last Badge Gala due to issues with the water level in the pool. We are now looking to rearrange this gala but with so many competitions already in the calendar, it is looking likely that this will be on the run up to Christmas.

Before we go through the process of organising the gala, we would like to get an indication of people's availability who would offer support on poolside as a volunteer or official to see if we have enough people.

If you are able to offer help on poolside or as an official could you please fill in the form by following the link below by Monday 29th July to allow us to decide on the best date to hold the gala. Please remember that to be able to offer support on poolside you must hold a valid Warriors DBS. If you want to help but do not have a Warriors DBS please contact our welfare officer at welfare@swimwarriors.org.uk.

Fun Summer Gala

We are excited to announce that we are looking to put on a Summer Gala for all Warriors Swimmers. Our older members will remember that this was something of a tradition and we are keen to bring back the fun!

Due to time constraints, the only available date that we can run this gala is the evening of Saturday 31st August. We realise that this is at the end of the summer holidays and we appreciate that some people may still be away but the more swimmers that can join in the better

We are also looking at the possibility of holding a BBQ afterwards. Please follow the link below to let us know if your swimmer can attend and if you are able to help. Once we have an idea of numbers we will then know if the gala can go ahead and we can then send out more details.

Please fill in the form no later than Monday 29th July; we really hope you can join us.

Warriors in the community

Warriors had a busy weekend at the beginning of July taking part in two different fundraising activities; Penketh Carnival and a walk up Snowdon. It was a fantastic achievement for all involved and really showed our swimmers and club at their best.

We have a range of different fundraising activities planned, including this Saturday at Golden Square. We are just waiting for them to confirm our attendance and the final details for the day before we send out further information

Following the AGM, Zoe has taken on the committee role of Marketing & Community Coordinator and is already doing a fantastic job. Read our first Community Newsletter below and if you are interested in getting involved please do not hesitate to contact community@swimwarriors.org.uk

Nationals Success

Well done Charis Davidson who got Warriors off to a flying start at the Nationals this summer. Charis was invited to compete @ the Scottish Summer Meet 2019 in Edinburgh. There was some fantastic swimming which resulted in a Bronze medal in the Girls 15 years 1500m free along with achieving 5th in the 800m free and 6th in the 400 free. Well done Charis!

Good luck in the coming weeks to our swimmers invited to compete at the British and English Summer Meets and our swimmers competing at the Swim Wales Summer Open meet.

The club relies on volunteers so if you could help in anyway or would like some further information please contact secretary@swimwarriors.org.uk. Any help however small is greatly appreciated.
