Proud to be a Duck

I moved to Eugene in 1986 to go to school at the University of Oregon. Little did I know that I would not return to the sunny climate of the California, Bay Area but grow webs between by toes and become a duck.

My path to class everyday

Some people complain about the rain but it has its upside. The landscape is always green and fresh and walks across campus are delightful.

Memorial to one of the best educators I have ever had the pleasure to work with.

I am fortunate to teach at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication where I enjoy sharing my skills and knowledge with the bright minds of the future.

My favorite thing about being a DUCK...

...Saturdays at Autzen Stadium...

...with my daughter yelling for the...

Green and Gold. GO DUCKS!!!

Being a Duck is not all fun and games. I spend most of my time developing methods and classes to help guide the future of storytelling and using technology to share them with the public.

The best part of my job is that I get to be a student as much as I am a teacher, constantly exploring and learning new things. For that is what makes me the best that I can be.
