Darrell May Monthly Update January - February | 2017

It's crazy to think that we're already in our second semester as a ministry as the University of Tennessee! Below are some of the highlights from the last two months - I hope this update finds you well and enjoying Jesus all the more.

Resource Staff Conference

In the beginning of February I spent a week at a conference in Nashville for several Resource/Administrative staff of Campus Outreach. The influential reach of the people in this room is hard to fathom - they make it possible for literally thousands of people to hear about Jesus. Please pray that these leaders would delight in their relationship with God as they serve those around them.

This is a group picture of some of the leaders at the conference. They were from Brazil, Minnesota, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Texas & Alabama.

Where is Campus Outreach?

The image below shows all of the current Campus Outreach franchises in the world:

One of the most impactful presentations was by the Campus Outreach International director. He spoke of about 15 conversations he has recently had with leaders from around the world and the one common request from each of them was for workers to come help them in their city. I walked away convinced that the need for laborers has never been greater. (Matt. 9:36-38)

Campus Outreach Knoxville

Here's a group shot of our regional staff team! Over the last 8 years, God raised up these leaders from our ministry at TTU. Thank you for giving to the development of this team and all of the people they will reach for Christ as a result on the campuses at TTU & UT!

Spring Retreat 2017

Feb. 17-19 we had Spring Retreat in Chattanooga, TN where students from UT and TTU joined us to deepen their relationships with God and with each other. Thank you for your prayers for this event! Below are a few photos of some friends and students attending the event:

The Greek Collective

The Greek Collective (our weekly meeting where we bring together all of the evangelistic bible studies we have in the Greek system at UT) has been going well! We just finished our theme of The All-American last night, and I had the privilege to speak on Valentine's Day about relationships and our position in the Gospel.

The Kappa Alpha bible study that I've been leading with Jake Peterman (also on staff) has been going really well also, so please pray that we can follow up with these guys, share the Gospel with them, challenge them to follow Christ, and cast vision to transform their fraternity, the Greek system, and ultimately the world!

Mountain Project

We've officially started our recruitment for the 2017 Summer Mountain Project - a 10 week missions & training project located in Pigeon Forge, TN for college students that will have an immeasurable impact on the rest of your life. The purpose of the project is to help students grow in their relationship with Jesus & to teach them how to share the good news of Christ with others while building friendships with peers doing the same thing!

Please be praying that this would help develop students into leaders and laborers both on the campus and in the world - we're praying that 10 from UT would join us as well! I'll be updating you all on this regularly, but in the meantime check out our website below:

Thank you for keeping up with me! It's a privilege to know that so many of you pray for me, and have been doing so for quite some time.

Your prayers and support helps me to invest in the students and staff here at UT and TTU, and through multiplication and collaboration, you are touching the nations.

Again, none of these things would be possible without your continued prayers and support. If there's any way that I can be praying for you, helping you, or even if you just want to chat, please feel welcome to give me a call or email at any time.

Thank you! God Bless!
