About LBP

Lithium Battery Power is different from all other lithium battery companies due to the reliability and high performance of our cells. We specialize in selling high quality lithium batteries for boats, RVs, solar panel banks, specialty vehicles, and more. So far we have distributed over 15,000 batteries worldwide.

Our warehouse is located in Clearwater FL, world-wide shipping available.

Not only does LBP have one of the largest inventories of LiFEPO4 batteries in the US, we also have the ability to build custom batteries for virtually any application. An example is our custom 24v and 36v batteries built specifically for trolling motors. Never before have boaters been able to travel further on a trolling motor battery.

Features of LBP Batteries

  • Fully waterproof case. We design these batteries for use in all marine applications - from commercial vessels, yachts, and cruise ships to fishing boats with electric propulsion and trolling motor applications.
  • Lifespan of 3000 - 5000 cycles (in some cases 15 times longer than lead acid, gel or AGM batteries).
  • Zero maintenance. LBP batteries will never go bad from non-use.
  • 70% lighter than lead.
  • 100% Depth of Discharge. Our batteries can be discharged to 100% of their rated capacity.
  • Modular design which allows for connection via a *series configuration (more voltage, same amp hours), *parallel (same voltage, more amp hours), or both. Easily hook up multiple batteries to create the perfect battery bank for any size boat.
  • Oversized BMS (Battery Management System) with a built-in heat sink to better handle heavy applications. The internal BMS is automatic and turns off the battery if it is drained below 8V or if it is charged above 15.8V. This prevents over-charging and promotes excellent thermal management. The battery will also turn off if it senses a short circuit, reverse polarity, so there is no risk of fire/ explosion.
  • LiFePO4 chemistry is approved for all marine outboard engines and electronics.
  • Dual purpose for starting or deep cycle applications.
  • PCB balanced cells. Our cells are manufactured with a flame retardant additive in the electrolyte making them safe.
  • All of this technology is packed into a reinforced steel structure that's designed to handle real world abuse. You won't find any plastic nuts and bolts on LBP batteries.
  • We recommend using our LBP Lithium Chargers which are waterproof and mountable for easy charging on the boat.
  • UN/DOT 38.3 compliance. Most inexpensive batteries aren’t built to be UN/DOT 38.3 compliant. That’s the statute that says a lithium battery has been tested and is safe to transport. Lithium iron phosphate is technically a hazardous good and must be handled correctly to avoid problems. In order to be UN/DOT 38.3 compliant, for example, one test includes batteries being repeatedly shaken at over 150 G-forces. Some companies skip these tests to save money as it’s very expensive to become certified. Many companies will state that they are UN/DOT 38.3 "Approved / Compliant" which is not to be confused with the term "Certified". Lithium Battery Power batteries will always pass these certification tests with flying colors.
  • Every LBP battery and charger is carefully built and tested by our team of engineers here in Clearwater, FL before it goes out the door. We have years of experience designing batteries for the auto racing and marine industries.

Benefits for Boaters

  • Faster top end speed.
  • Increased fuel efficiency and performance on the water.
  • Less weight and drag which allows boaters to go shallower than ever before.
  • Longer battery life and time between charges to meet the needs of competitive anglers in fishing tournaments.
  • Save space on the boat by building a more energy efficient battery bank.
  • LBP's lithium batteries work with all 12V, 24V, and 36V trolling motors and offer the greatest flexibility for outboard propulsion as a dual purpose battery for deep cycle and starting. Our lithium batteries constantly supply above 13 volts - giving engines the power they need to keep running at their highest thrust throughout the entire day. In contrast, the initial voltage of lead batteries starts at 12.8V and quickly goes down to 11V in strong current or winds.

Some Testimonials from our Users

Mark and Micheal Cowart: Team shallow-Tails and LBP customers

"We've been on the hunt for the perfect batteries for over two years and have gone through three different sets of lead acid, AGM, and gel batteries. We've had the LBP's on the Majek boat for about a month running them in all types of conditions - our draft has improved, we've consistently picked up four miles an hour, and have pushed our 36v Ultra to the max. We know that we've finally hit the jackpot with the Lithium Battery Power batteries! From cranking to trolling motor and everything in between, you don't have to look any further."

Fisherman can stay out on the water longer than ever before knowing that their batteries are reliable and will last longer. Gain a competitive advantage wether you're in a tournament, fishing for fun, or just trying to make your way to the next destination.
More power is more control.

"Batteries may not seem important, but as a full time guide spending 300+ days a year on the water, they're a huge backbone to run my business." said Capt. Ryan Harrington. "Whether I'm spot locked offshore for hours at a time or using the trolling motor on the flats, I'm constantly relying on my batteries to keep us on the fish. I typically have about two years of life out of my old batteries before replacing all five. That adds up over the years... The new batteries I got from LBP saved me 125 lbs (50.3 lbs vs. 25 lbs each)!!! Not to mention they last at least five times longer. There's something to say about peace of mind knowing my boat will crank every time. I no longer have to worry about conserving trolling motor power and spending hours at the sandbar with electronics and stereo running is no problem... these batteries are truly game changers!!!!"

"For years I've wasted money on cheap batteries that don't last." stated Capt. Mike Goodwine. "I have a freaking graveyard of old batteries. I finally decided to switch to Lithium Battery Power which could last me 10 years. These batteries are so lightweight that I can lift them with one finger... Now I have about twice the power with half the weight. No more worrying about my trolling motor dying, over-cranking batteries, or nasty corrosion. LBP is all I'm running from here on out. Work smarter not harder!"

A Recent LBP Install

Upgrade time for the Conch.

Before:

(x5) Intimidator AGM batteries (375lbs)

After, saving 235 lbs:

30ft Conch, center-console with twin 350hp Mercury Verado's, equipped with (x4) 12v 100Ah Marine Lithium Batteries.

When you start your motor a heavy load is placed on your battery. Voltage in lead acid and AGM batteries starts out low and can drop below 10V during cranking causing your motor to spin over slowly and have trouble starting. Each of our 12V lithium batteries will hold a nominal voltage of 12.8V, giving your starter all the power it needs to start your engine noticeably faster and stronger.

Charging

LBP's batteries can be recharged with any standard charger, alternator, or controller designed to charge lead acid, gel, or AGM batteries. In the event that your charger doesn't reach the necessary minimum voltage, it may not fully charge the battery. To overcome this issue we offer a line of lithium battery chargers designed for maximizing cell performance and longevity.
