How you can do this...EATING HEALTHY

It is important to have a healthy diet. By eating things that are good for you, you can help yourself be healthier and feel good.Unhealthy eating habits can contribute to obesity and put you at a greater risk for developing chronic diseases. Major health risks and even death can be related back to having a poor diet!

Here are some tips to help you eat better!

  • Make half your plate fruits and vegetables
  • Switch to whole grains
  • Eat more lean protein like chicken breasts and ground turkey
  • Watch for foods high in sodium
  • Cut back on sugary foods

Ways to reduce faT, salt, and sugar in your diet

  • Cut out the fried foods and instead choose baked or grilled foods
  • Drink water instead of soda
  • Choose fruit as your dessert
  • Try and cook with less salt
