My name's Evan Ward. I'm a freshman, Elementary Education major. I'm from Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina which is right on the border of South Carolina. I chose to go to Clemson after I took a tour here and just feel in love with it. The most important thing in my life's my relationship with God. I enjoy the outdoors and activities such as hiking, camping, kayaking, and hunting. I just find it so fascinating to look at the complexity of nature and just stand in awe knowing that we have an amazing creator who formed everything there is around us as well as each of us individually. I also love to travel and do missionary work and could see that being my life one day. I'm involved in my church here at Clemson, Crosspoint Church, as well as organizations such as BCM. I enjoy frisbee and a lot of adventurous sports like kayaking, but I'm not very competitive. I love kids and that's what brought me to the Elementary Ed program.
From a resent mission trip to Clarkston, Georgia where we worked alongside an after school program with refugee kids.
This is one of my favorite bible verses and I find it very encouraging.
