The Father Loves You

Read Luke 15:11-14 - Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.

Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need."

How did the son treat his father?

Did the son deserve love from his father?

Read Luke 15:20 - So he got up and went to his father.

But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

How did the father respond to his son?

Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

When we didn't deserve love, the Father loved us by sending his Son, Jesus, to die on the cross - paying the penalty for our sins.

Can you think of things you have done to rebel against the Father?

1 John 3:1 - How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!

Do you want to experience how much the Father loves you?

The Father God wants you to experience the richness of his love. It is this love of Father God that will healing, comfort, peace and direction into your life.

To begin a love relationship with your Father God...

Turn away from your sins.
Believe that Jesus is the only way to the Father.
Commit to obey Jesus as Lord of your life.
Share with others your new relationship with the Father.

You can talk to the Father right now and begin a relationship with him.

Pray: Dear Jesus, I believe that you are the only true God. I repent from all my sins. Please forgive me. Thank you for dying in my place. I want you to take over my life. Please be the Lord of my life. I will trust you and obey you. Thank you for the gift of eternal life with you. In Jesus' name, Amen
