Virginia Woolf (1882-1941)

Virginia Woolf was an English writer and one of the modernists form the twentieth century. She was a central figure in the influential Bloomsbury Group of intellectual. She wrote many novels and some of her best ones are: To The Lighthouse, Orlando, and A Room of One's Own. she suffered from Mental Illness throughout her life.

Beverly Sills (1929-2007)

Beverly Sills was an Operatic Soprano singer. Known for her performances in Coloratura Soprano roles in live opera and recordings. Some of Beverly Sills signature performances are in: Lucia Di Lammermoor, Massenet's Moon, and the most important Elisabetta in Roberto Devereux. She was a manager of the New York City Opera. Sills lent her celebrity powers to help her charity work, which was for the prevention and treatment of birth defects. Her voice has been described as " A cutting edge that can slice through the largest orchestra and chorus." Sills died on July 2, 2007 from lung cancer.

Betty Friedan ( 1921-2006)

Betty Friedan Was an American writer, Activist, and Feminists. Her book "The Feminine Mystique" is often created with sparking the American feminism on the 20th century. In 1966 Betty was elected first president of the National Organization for Women. Betty Friedan organized a nationwide women's strike for equality in August on the 50th anniversary of the nineteenth amendment, which granted women the right to vote. She founded the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws. Betty Friedan died of a congested heart failure in February on her birthday, in 2006.

Great Grandma Elizabeth Paul is an important women who was in my life. She always told good stories. She was very inspirational in the state that in her stories there were ideas behind them and lessons. She passed away in November of 2015.
