Minera Voluntary Aided School End of Term News Letter July 2020

End of Term - Thank You

Well, it’s almost that time of year where I wave goodbye to your children and wish them all the very best for a wonderful summer spending time with friends and family. However, this year is slightly different as they have spent the last 3 months spending quality time at home with family and more recently catching up with friends. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to say goodbye in person this year to everyone which is very strange. I would like thank you for your continued support throughout these unprecedented times.

Your positive feedback with regards to the work being set by the staff has been shared with all and is very much appreciated. I owe a huge amount to the commitment of the staff here at school during this very difficult time as they have supported me greatly thoroughly the most difficult time in my role as Head teacher.

Thank you also for the hard work you have undertaken, juggling everyday life with supporting your children’s learning from home. We always report that the children who are well supported at home perform better in school, none more like the present.

Take care and stay safe, Mr Williams

Everyone has fun during the Catch Up and Check In and Keyworker Childcare Sessions
It wasn’t the end to Primary School that we had planned for our Year 6 but we hope that today was still memorable. Our thanks and best wishes go to our Year 6 pupils who will be leaving us for Secondary education. They have been a very hard working and responsible year group. We will miss them all!
We say goodbye to Mr Griffiths this week. I would like to take this opportunity to thank for him for his hard work and commitment during his time at Minera School teaching firstly, Year 3 and 4 and then Year 5 and 6. Mr Griffiths will be remembered fondly by everyone.
