The Santa Barbara Mission was opened on December 4th, 1786 according to the official mission website. The website goes on to say that the mission was the 10th mission to be built. It was built right in the middle of the mission time period.

The mission is in the city of Santa Barbara, California. The mission was built to teach the local tribe called the Chumash-Barbareno tribe according to wikipedia.

The Santa Barbara Mission is near the California coast.

Inside the mission you will find many statues.

Outside around the mission you can enjoy a beautiful garden.

Inside the mission is a courtyard with many different plants native to California.
