What's happening this quarter?
home/work show, open now until March 23, 2018
This exhibition is a culmination of our Fall 2017 semester theme of Family and Work and our new Work and Family semester theme Winter 2018. Building on the skills and ideas students have developed using the Working Assumptions curriculum for documentary photography, thirty-six photos were selected for the print show at the Armory Center and over hundred will be showcased on the homeworkshow. weebly.com website. Currently, LCHS’s has adopted the “Challenge Success,” program that 'challenges the conventional, high-pressure, and narrow path to success and offer practical alternatives to pursue a broader definition of success.' Looking at family and work, under the Working Assumptions umbrella will be an excellent way for the community engagement. (photo above by Kaila Jenson)
This exhibit is made possible in part by LA Promise Fund, and Working Assumptions Foundation, which encourages greater understanding of the changing equation of work and family in our everyday lives, through the powerful lens of art.
