What idea or approach inspired you to think about your entrepreneurial endeavor in a new way? How?
When asked what advice they would he give someone who wants to build their own empire, David said “Don’t Wait for perfect”. This really resonated with me because it is something I struggle with. I will end up not finishing a project because its not my vision and it has in some cases stunted my opportunities. Although I will take great care of the evolution of my company, I wont let my idea of perfect stop it from being launched.
What lesson or failure can you learn from without having to repeat the same mistake yourself? How?
He said that with his first business, he failed miserably. But instead of stopping and thinking he shouldn’t be in the industry, he still pressed forward but in a new way. He researched and became wiser with his decisions and ended up creating something successful. I hope that even if I do fail that I take it as a learning opportunity and press on.
Will you alter your business idea as a result of reviewing this case study? Why/How or Why Not?
David first struggled with understanding how much time things took to execute. In the end it made him fall behind and his first business failed. This is one of my unknowns right now and I will make sure to test and over estimate timing in order to make up for any obstacles.
What will you incorporate in your business after exploring this case study?
I liked that David included a blog and said that it pulled many clients in because it was a way that they got to know him. This is something that I would like to add to my business. My business is overwhelmingly analytical and by adding a blog I believe it could help with optimization and give a human touch to the company.
