9/11 was one of the most tragic events in American history. 9/11 happened on September 11th 2001 hence why it was called 9/11. Today I will be explaining some things that happened during 9/11 and during the aftermath of it. Also another name for 9/11 is "The Attack On The Twin Towers".

Deaths In 9/11 In total there were 2996 people who died in 9/11. 2977 of which were victims and 19 were hijackers and 411 of which were emergency workers. It was estimated that around 200 people jumped out of the twin towers during 9/11. Only 18 people survived.

How long did it last? 9/11 lasted a total of 1hr 15 minutes (just the attack). It was one 3 attempted attacks on September 11th 2001. The 2 others were the Pentagon and The White House. The plane that was going to hit the white house landed in a farmers field somewhere in Pennsylvania.
