Notes from the President District Update | May 10, 2020

Hello Falcon Families!

Happy Mother's Day to all! I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy.

We are excited to see an increase in student engagement this past week, and want to see even more engagement this week! There are four weeks remaining for new work, so push forward Falcons! This is your opportunity to complete your winter term courses and earn credit. We want to see all of our students progress in courses this coming fall. If a new need has arisen, please let our team know so that we can support.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Thank you for the support and kind comments from our families that expressed their appreciation through social media last week! Our faculty are truly exceptional and deserving of appreciation.

2019-2020 Yearbooks

2019-2020 Yearbooks are being prepared! There were some question on if they would be available and where to order yearbooks. They will be available and can be ordered by clicking on the button below.

Spirit Week 5/11 - 5/16

Please see a message from our Student Government President - Tyler Rupert

Good evening JPEC students! The Student Government is hosting an online Spirit Week for all JPEC students and staff!

To participate, post your pictures on Instagram and use the provided hashtag for each day! If you don’t have access to Instagram, you may also post them on Facebook or send us an email (ruperttyleri@jacksonpec.org). We will keep track of all students who participate and they will be put in a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card. Each day a student participates, their name will be placed in the drawing. Remember, the more that you participate, the higher chance you have to win!

College Textbooks

Our students taking college courses will follow the same process to receive their textbooks as they did when courses transitioned fully online. Please follow this LINK to access the bookstore website. Once a student has selected their course materials, they will choose "Financial Aid" as the payment method. Students must enter the comment "I am a JPEC student" in the message/comment field after selecting payment type.

Students may mail textbooks from courses they are finished with and had checked out from JPEC to our main office at JPEC 2111 Emmons Rd., Jackson, MI. 49201. We will also schedule times that textbooks may be dropped off to JPEC. This will need to be coordinated with Jackson College's approval, so please be patient.

Graduate Caps and Gowns

Mr. Marowelli is trying to coordinate with Jackson College on caps and gowns for our grads. With the closure of the bookstore and the College not having rescheduled their commencement as of yet, we may need to go with a different vendor to get caps and gowns this year. Falcons please stay tuned as we work this out.
