COMPANY HISTORY

ATH NDT was started in 2010 by Anthony Heaton. Anthony had a longstanding career in NDT whereby he had accumulated multiple accreditations including Level 3 EN4179 / NAS410 in both MPI & FPI & ISO9712, as well as prime approvals for primes including Rolls Royce, Honeywell, Airbus, Pratt & Whitney and more.

The companies initial function was providing NDT Level 3 services to the aerospace and general engineering industries, this was then complimented further by the addition of ATO & NANDTB status allowing ATH NDT to offer training and examinations to their ever growing list of aerospace clients.

PENETRANT LINE MANUFACTURE

A few years on and the company was well established as a level 3 services provider Anthony decided the expand the portfolio of the company and step in to the world of NDT Equipment.

Initially ATH began manufacturing small manual dye penetrant lines with dip tanks, wash stations, small drying ovens & dust storm developer cabinets.

These line served to fill a gap in the market for high quality UK manufactured and affordable penetrant lines. But as their popularity grew ATH looked to expand their range further.

ATH NDT have since moved in to and dominated the electrostatic penetrant line market, making numerous custom designed electrostatic spray application penetrant systems for bug players in the aerospace industry.

The electrostatic penetrant application system allows the processing of both large components and large volume batches with ease. This coupled with the increased level of sensitivity and reduced consumable usage they are a very popular choice for larger organisations.

CHEMICAL PROCESSING LINES

Another service offered by ATH is the design and manufacture of chemical processing systems for processes including pre penetrant etching, alkaline cleaning, anodizing, alocrom, passivation and more.
