Project: Village Kit Provide life saving resources to those in need

Our Mission: Enable and engage anyone to take action and help create life transformation for people around the world.

Where should we start? Support needs for those in Haiti.

How?

Partner with Mission of Hope: Haiti to distribute hygiene kits to the people of Haiti. Through a team made up of: Supporters, our organization and Mission of Hope: Haiti.

Haiti

Why?

While in Haiti in 2015 I witnessed first hand the incredible work of this organization and how they are changing lives.

North MOH Campus by Bercy, where I stayed and launched out of for several village trips.

Mission of Hope: Haiti is a Christian organization that feeds over 91,000+ children and students per day, impacted 9,011 students with education, helped build 894 homes since the earthquake, 1,724 people prayed to receive Christ in 2016.

When I first set foot in Haiti, a hygiene kit was something new to me. When MOH engages the local Haitian communities, they provide kits to families in need. Each kit can contain a bar of soap, washcloth, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and/or comb.

What we want to do, is allow people to support this effort by enabling anyone to send a hygiene kit and other resources to Mission of Hope: Haiti when purchasing your very own first aid kit.

Our product is under development. When we launch our Kickstarter you can buy a "Ready Kit", one that is a designed like a first aide/travel type bag. So that when in your "village" you always have available materials for travel, ministry or first aide, to engage our community and be on mission. It could be used for your everyday adventure.

Our Story

When I visited Haiti in 2015 I was deeply affected. I spent time with an organization called Mission of Hope: Haiti. Part of this organization's strategy is to go out into the local villages to provide physical and spiritual needs of the community.

My last day in Haiti I'll never forget.

While walking through a village called Bercy, myself and one other volunteer, became separated from the group. A small boy walked up to me. I immediately noticed on his face an open wound. My heart broke for this child because it did not appear that the wound had been cleaned and risked infection as flies swarmed. I needed to do something. But I had already passed out all my hygiene kits for the day.

Because I had branched off from the group I had no interpreter to find where the boy lived or see if someone else in our group had a kit to give.

And then suddenly, the boy ran off.

The boy pictured here is "Champ".

Incredibly, when he turned away I noticed the words "champ" written on the back of his shirt. Immediately, I thought of my son who was similar age, and who I call "champ" because the meaning of his name is "champion".

Instantly, I no longer saw a Haitian boy walking. I saw my son.

Heartbroken, I set out to find the boy's family. After many hours later, I ventured near a water well. Remarkably, there I found another member of our team giving a strategic village kit to "champ", the boy's mother. I praised God because he could now use soap from the kit to clean his open flesh wound on his face. I'll never forget that moment.

The water pump near where we located "champ" and his family.

We are called to minster to spiritual and physical needs of others. I often think, what if that boy never received a kit with soap to cleanse his open wound?

We believe it is a basic human right for all to have access to basic health cleanliness that we take for granted.

With your help, we'd like to help those in Haiti. So that in Haiti no man, woman or child is without basic health needs.

Our organization's purpose is to engage people to act and become involved. So that they are reminded of Haiti and the mission for every man, woman and child to experience life transformation is a not just one in Haiti but a global mission for Jesus.

The way we do this is provide a first aid/travel kit to purchase. With each purchase funds a hygiene kit to a family in Haiti.

With every "First Aid Kit" purchase, we will send a hygiene kit to Haiti like the one that we passed out in the village. Our mission will also include engaging supporters to purchase spiritual resources like bibles translated in Haitian and other physical needs, like water purifiers for the Haitian community.
