“I do not think any spectacle can be more interesting, than the first sight of Man in his primitive wildness.” — Charles Darwin

with Blake Storey and Carl Meadows

For many, many years our bodies crawled, climbed, jumped and swam on a daily basis. The modern human rarely moves in such a way, and the results have been extremely detrimental to our health. In this class, Blake and Carl will take time to explore moving in an intuitive, visceral way while building strength, mobility, and spatial awareness.

"I initially started doing MAT with Alex because of irritation in my heels due to bone spurs. I was interested to see if manipulating muscles around that area would alleviate some pain. After just one session, I could tell a difference in the muscle tension on my heel."

"I suffered from severe neck pain for years until discovering Blake Storey at Chattanooga Holistic Medicine. After one session, I was pain-free. And with every follow-up session, I’ve been pain-free for longer periods of time. Blake is honest, fair, compassionate, and really understands how to heal the body. I highly recommend him."

So many vegetables...so little time....

New Year's Resolutions?!

You've made those New Year's Resolutions to eat healthier and exercise more but are unsure of where to start? Here are a few tips to get you moving in the right direction.

Healthy Tip #1

Aim for 5 servings of vegetables a day. Yes, 5! When in doubt, throw some greens in--scrambled eggs, sautéed as a side, or in your smoothie!

Healthy Tip #2

Drink more water!! But really...instead of coffee, sweet tea, or soda, choose a glass of water! Aim for AT LEAST half your body weight in ounces every day. Watch the bloat melt away, and see how much better you feel!

Healthy Tip #3

Add some strength training to your fitness regimen--aim for 2-3 days a week of lifting weights or body-weight exercises.

You can do it!! The most important part of any Resolution is to STICK TO IT! Make it part of your daily routine, and you'll have new healthy habits in no time!
