out with the sat By Grace Fletcher

Every college in Virginia includes the SAT in their acceptance process.

The SAT can be a very stressful process for high school students.

Many students do not get the healthy amount of sleep that they need when studying for the SAT.

Instead of basing acceptance off of one test grade, colleges should examine the student's achievements.
Community service is an achievement that colleges should look for in a student because it shows how they'd impact the college community.
Being on a sports team is another achievement that colleges should not overlook.
Colleges should acknowledge how well students do in the classroom on top of having extracurricular activities by looking at the student's GPA each semester.
