I am an experienced Business & Legal Affairs and General Counsel executive, with 36 years practicing law in the media and entertainment industry. My background includes legal work for 2 trade associations (NCTA & NAB), the FCC, a major law firm (as well as a smaller one, and my own practice), Times Mirror Cable Television (then 10th largest US cable operator, owned by a significant multi-media company, The Times Mirror Company, then publisher of the Los Angeles Times and other pre-eminent publications and broadcast media outlets), StarSight Telecast (with key patents in on-screen guides), TVN Entertainment (leader in PPV & On Demand licensing and services), Vubiquity (global premium digital content licensing and services provider), and various others, including programming networks (TechTV, Access Television Network, The Outdoor Channel, Outdoor Life Network [now known as NBCSN]), and on-line video distributors/service providers.

My work includes domestic and international transactions, with particular focus on intellectual property, content and technology, licensing and distribution, via all forms of media worldwide. I've negotiated and closed deals with major distributors (cable, telco, satellite, internet service providers, etc.), studios (major and independent), networks (cable, broadcast, multi-media and internet focused), event promoters (PPV sports and music), and start ups. I also have some experience working with businesses in the gaming and music industries, and with artists and their representatives.

I currently serve as an Advisory Board Member to the Alliance for Women in Media, So. Cal. Chapter, I am a Board member for two HOAs (serving as Treasurer and Secretary, respectively), and I mentor UCLA Law students and others.

My alma maters include the UCLA School of Law, UC Santa Barbara, and the University of Madrid, and I have fluency in Spanish. I am a member of the California State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.
