Morocco March 2017

Morocco (arab. المغرب)

From Saharan dunes to the peaks of the High Atlas, Morocco is tailor-made for travellers. We were amazed by the diverse landscapes and vivid cities of this beautiful slice of North Africa.

The sand dunes of Erg Chebbi (close to Hassilabied)
In the Medina of Marrakesh

We only had 10 days and a long route...

From Tangir to Marrakesh

... so we rented a car:

Ok, this was not ours...
... but this ;)
Sunset in Tangir

Chefchaouen

Volubilis

Fes

Through the Atlas mountains...
... to the desert.

Merzouga

The oases...

The "kajal" mines of Mefis

Rissani

Donkey parking lot in Rissani

Ait Ben Haddou

(don't worry, it's just a movie set)
Again crossing the Atlas...

... to our last stop:

Marrakesh

And, of course, the foooood:

It's the eye that eats.

(Moroccan Proverb)

Omelette in the Tajine
Berber tea with mint
Moroccan breakfast with olives, figs, white cheese and bread

And finally, the children :)

Schoolgirls in Ait Atmane (Eastern Atlas)

C'est tout.
