Aliyah Benton

Aliyah Benton is based in Sunny San Jose, California.

Aliyah Benton is a driven professional with a passion for recruiting, event planning, and diverse talent research. She is from Charlotte, NC and relocating to San Jose, CA. This website showcases her talent acquisition projects, multimedia experience, writing, and design skills. In May 2017 she will be graduating with a bachelor's degree in Journalism & Mass Communication from North Carolina A&T State University. She currently works for Intuit as a Talent Acquisition intern and will be starting full time in July as a Talent Acquisition Program Manager. She also is the Chief Programming Officer for The LadyBUGS Mentoring Organization.

Aliyah created the L.I.F.E. Scholarship program. The purpose of this program is to award five sophomores/juniors in engineering and business departments $2,000 scholarship. The recipients will also win a chance to travel to Mountain View, California and interview with the company. Aliyah also created personas about product management and marketing candidates. These are profiles about under represented minorities candidates to give more insight to her team members about these candidates.
Aliyah attended the Code 2040 Backwards Career Fair in July 2016 where she was able to represent the company and speak with top diverse candidates about opportunities. Aliyah was invited to interview with Intuit about her journey to Intuit and her experience as a candidate. Lastly, Aliyah was able to attend the Intuit Diverse Talent Hiring Event where she was able to recruit, network, and interview with diverse candidates.

This Spring Aliyah was able to assist in planning Recruitment Celebrations in Mountain View, CA San Diego, CA, Plano, TX, and Tuscon, AZ. The purpose of these celebrations is to bring team members together to celebrate the end of the recruitment season and highlight great memories from the season.
