SUMMER MATH WORKBOOK ORDERS DUE APRIL 30th

If you would like to order optional summer math workbooks for your students, please submit your order by April 30th. Use the link below to print off the form.

FLOWER SALE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We need volunteers on Tuesday, May 7, to help unload the plants, sort orders and staff the pick up table. it's a fun day outside with beautiful flowers! If you are interested, please sign up using the BUTTON below. If you have questions, contact Bambi McKibbin at bambimckibbin@gmail.com.

Flower and Plant Pickup Flowers and plants will be available for pickup from 11:00 - 7:00 on Tuesday, May 7. We will also have a limited number of plants available for sale.

Your items can be picked up in front of the school. Please be aware that this is the same area used for car line drop off/pickup.

We cannot hold the line for flower sale items, so please exit the line and park to pick up your flowers. Thanks for your understanding!

Spring Pictures went home today. Please look through them and either return the packet if you decide you do not wish to purchase. OR, return with a check for the pictures you wish to keep.

  • If you wish to purchase pictures, please return a check by payable to West Clay PTO by May 10th for the amount of the pictures you keep.
  • If you do not wish to purchase any pictures, please return the FULL packet back to West Clay by May 10th.
  • There will be NO RETAKES.

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10. It's a great time to thank our teachers for their hard work, dedication and caring. They do an amazing job helping our kids learn and grow. You will hear more about week from your room parent soon. Some ways to show your appreciation:

  • MONDAY - HAVE YOUR CHILD WRITE A THANK YOU NOTE OR DRAWING FOR THEIR TEACHER.
  • TUESDAY - BRING YOUR TEACHER A FLOWER FROM YOUR GARDEN OR THE STORE.
  • WEDNESDAY - SHARE A SCHOOL SUPPLY WITH YOUR TEACHER (dry erase markers, post it notes, pencils, paper, it's all appreciated.)
  • THURSDAY - TREAT YOUR TEACHER TO ONE OF THEIR FAVORITE SNACKS OR DRINKS.
  • FRIDAY - WEAR YOUR TEACHERS FAVORITE COLOR TO SAY THANKS!

BOX TOPS

Our last Box Tops for Education due date of this school year is Friday, May 17, 2019! Each Box Top turned in is equal to $.10 so we would like to encourage every family to participate. No need to wait until the deadline, you can send in your Box Tops at any time and as many times as you wish.

The teacher that brings in the most Box Tops for Education will receive a $30 gift card to spend on the class. Your child’s teacher’s name and grade needs to be with the Box Top submission to count towards the class totals. Please confirm the Box Top is not expired and the four letter product code is present. Otherwise, the Box Top will not count towards our goal.

2019 GREYHOUND BOYS BASKETBALL CAMP

The Greyhound basketball camps provide the foundation for young players to develop skills and improve their understanding of the game. They welcome all ability levels and provide a positive environment for our future Greyhounds to learn, compete and have fun.

This is an excellent opportunity to participate in what the Greyhounds believe is the best school-­‐based basketball camp in Indiana. Each participant will be coached and encouraged to develop his basketball skills The Greyhound Way!

Each day we average around 60 - 80 dismissal changes for our students. Please be sure to have your changes in before the cut-off time of 1:30pm each day. You can set future attendance changes for the entire year!

Biking to school promotes health, safety, physical activity and concern for the environment!

  1. Extra officers will be present to help with safety and traffic.
  2. Park your bike on the grass in front of WCE or on the bike rack.
  3. Bring your helmets inside to your cubby.
  4. Families may also choose to walk.
  5. Don’t forget to change your dismissal by 1:30pm if you plan to bike/walk home.
  6. Contact Mrs. Guest with any questions.
