Drawing of features that I drew in the beginning of the semester. I learned how to correctly shade and draw the features of the face.
Surrealism is a movement in art that began in the early twentieth century that showed the principles, ideals, or practice of producing fantastic or incongruous imagery or effects in art. Surrealism Collages which I made from personal symbols and things that represent me. I used my favorite animal, and different objects about me that were expressed through the collages. In my surrealism graphic art, I used things that represent me and my personality. I used objects like books and cameras because I love to read and photography. I also used my favorite animal in my graphic art. All of these things come together in a way that represents me.
Digital Pop Art picture, pop art is art based on modern popular culture and the mass media, and beside it is my self portrait which is analogous.
This is a clay mask I made towards the end of the semester. I used many things on my mask to make it come together in a unified piece. I used a cultural pattern by the aboriginal people as a design on my mask. I also used things like a camera, a girl reading a book and the earth to show my personality and the things I like.
This year, I helped make puppets with my art class. It was for a play that went towards a charity in Africa called LIV. I learned many different techniques to help make these puppets. I learned how to combine paint colors and shade it to make the texture of the animal look real.

I have learned many things in this art class over the semester. I learned the principles and elements of art, and different ways to use them. I got to try new things like contour drawings, gesture drawings, and drawing geometric forms. I learned how to correctly draw and shade facial features for a portrait drawing. We used different mediums like pencils, acrylic paint, collage, colored pencils, charcoal and digital collage to create our art throughout the semester. Once we start a new unit, we also learn the history behind the art and time period. We also learned about different art styles like pop art, surrealism, and different types of portraits.

"I believe that, through the act of living, the discovery of oneself is made concurrently with the discovery of the world around us.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson

Hyères, France, 1932 by Henri Cartier-Bresson. photograph that is exhibited in New York's Museum of Modern Art.

This is a photograph take by Henri Cartier-Bresson. This is my favorite artwork because its feels like time stopped in this picture. Henri captured this motion so well that you can tell that the biker was going at a pretty fast speed. I love the fact that when you take a picture, its like freezing a memory or something you saw and it won't go anywhere. Even though this picture doesn't have motion in it, you can see that there was motion and I think thats really cool.
