He majored in Interpersonal Communications and lettered as a running back for 4 years, 2 as a starter. He is the son of Pastor Kenneth R. Draughn and Co-pastor Shirley Draughn and the youngest of 3, with two older sisters, Kennethra and Rashena.

After college, Shaun went to the NFL as an undrafted free agent. He initially signed with the Washington Redskins in 2011 and went on to play for seven seasons, with the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers being his longest stints. Upon retiring from the NFL in 2018, Shaun spends much of his time with his wife and children, organizing and promoting his non-profit, The Draughn Family Foundation” and pursuing different entrepreneurial endeavors, such as owning a franchise.

Shonda Draughn, The Triangle’s HOUSEwife/Franchise Owner

Shonda is a Christian, Wife, Mom, Tarheel, Philanthropist, and REALTOR® in North Carolina’s Triangle area. She moved to Raleigh, NC after her father retired from the Army, where she attended middle and high school. Shonda went on to study at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2006-2010, where she graduated with a Major in Interpersonal Communications and a minor in Women’s Studies.

After graduation, Shonda took some time to start a family and support her husband in following and accomplishing his dream of playing in the NFL. Somewhere between their 7 seasons, 9 teams, 21 moves and two children, she managed to get her Real Estate license, and began to help others accomplish their goal of purchasing a home.

Between moving with her father in the military to moving with her own family in the NFL, Shonda understand what it feels like to crave stability, ownership, and a place to call home. As an NFL housewife, she took care of the packing, scheduling, finding new properties, new daycares & schools and much more. Working with real estate agents who made her family’s many moves less overwhelming is what inspired her to become a REALTOR® herself.

The process of buying, selling, and even renting a home can be very stressful, but a great agent can ease that stress by guiding you through from beginning to end. As the Triangle’s HOUSEWife she takes her job seriously. At the same time, she loves to have fun with clients and ensure they feel comfortable while working with her.

When she is not working you can catch her hosting game night for family and friends, traveling with her family, rooting for her children at their various sporting events, or reading a suspenseful book. Shonda is also a recent franchise owner alongside her husband Shaun Draughn.
