SHOW ME SOMETHING COOL: THE BEST OF ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS AROUND THE PORT WORLD

Each fall, the brightest minds in the environmental port world gather for a conference focused on both deep dives on technical issues, as well as environmental policy. Port enviromental teams really do cool stuff - which some port staff might not even be aware of. In the "Show Me Something Cool" portion of the seminar, ports throughout the state present the cool, quirky and even hilarious approaches they're using to solve issues + apply innovation to port projects.

Event Partnership Between Port of Woodland & Woodland Public Schools Expands in Year Two

SPOTLIGHT: WOODLAND WORKS

The PORT OF WOODLAND launches its second annual “Woodland Works” event, partnered with Woodland Public Schools. The one-day event features around 50 local companies (of all sizes) hiring for both part-time and full-time careers.

The Port’s partnership with Woodland Public Schools is designed to match the skills students are studying with the needs of regional employers. Started in 2018 as a career fair aimed at students, in 2019, the event has expanded to include a three-hour job fair, connecting job-seekers of all ages with local businesses looking to fill vacancies.
