From the President's Desk

Dear Friends,

As the days lengthen, despite the trick of clock changes, the year grows colder, and delightful fall colors fade to brown, a change comes over our kids. The newness of the school year gone, the realization that our actions bring about consequences, for both good and ill and the need to take stock of one’s life causes growth and maturity in our students. With snow falling and winter nigh upon us, a distinct change comes.

And what impact is found in such change? Gratitude one hopes, for the late fall and winter bring us to the most grateful time of year. After the madness of the late summer and early fall, the great American holiday, (my favorite) of Thanksgiving fast approaches. Surrounded by family and lots of good food, enough to stuff yourself as well as the Turkey, we pause to appreciate the good that surrounds us. It makes the day a blessed one and it remains a lesson for us all to take hold of.

In St. Dom's we have all found blessing, some challenges for sure, but overwhelmingly blessings and an air of gratitude helps us see all that. Considering that I want to take a moment to thank all those who helped with our Holiday Festival, a marvelously complicated event, which benefits the school.

God bless you all,

Timothy Gallic
