Susanna Smith An old-fashioned librarian in the digital age

I am an academic librarian at Georgia Highlands College. My primary responsibilities include acquisitions, instruction, and reference. Typically each semester I embed as the "digital librarian" in multiple online classes, providing library instruction and research help. In addition to the online work, I also teach database and research instruction in face-to-face classes. I have a Masters in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University, and a Bachelors in English from the University of the South.
A few of my many guises - hiker, librarian, traveler. (My husband Greg and I have been married for 23 years.)
WE call our house the Redneck Victorian, and spend many of our weekends on repairs and improvements. This summer we gutted and renovated the kitchen, and replaced damaged siding in the back.

From hiking in Yosemite ...

And exploring Georgia's Pinhoti Trail,

to Shakespeare in the park

...we find plenty of ways to stay out of trouble!

Our kitties Ginger and Cinnamon keep us on our toes, too!

Reading, gardening, scrapbooking, Doctor Who - these are a few of my favorite things!
