Civil Rights Movement Brown vs. The board of education

SEPARATE IS NOT EQUAL WAS ESTABLISHED BECAUSE THE RACIAL DISCRIMINATION IN SCHOOLS WAS UNCONSTITUTIONAL. IT HAPPENED IN MAY OF 1954, AND WAS RULED BY THE SUPREME COURT; MORE SPECIFICALLY, EARL WARREN.

THE GOAL OF THIS EVENT WAS TO END RACIAL DISCRIMINATION.

EARL WARREN, THE GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA IN THE 50'S.

THE SUPREME COURT WAS GOING AGAINST THE TOPEKA BOARD OF EDUCATION. AN IMPORTANT FIGURE IS EARL WARREN WHO DECLARED THAT IT WAS IN FACT UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

THE CHALLENGE WAS NOT EVERYBODY BELIEVED IN HUMAN EQUALITY, EVEN THOUGH IT IS ONES RIGHT TO HAVE FREEDOM. RACIAL DISCRIMINATION WAS AT IT'S PEAK DURING THIS TIME MORE SO PASSIVELY AND VIOLENTLY.

THE IMPACT IT HAS ON TODAY IS OBVIOUSLY, SCHOOLS ARE NO LONGER DIVIDED RACIALLY BY LAW. OF COURSE RACIAL SITUATIONS HAPPEN BUT DE FACTO IS ILLEGAL.

ITS NOT A NEW FACT THAT THE TRANSGENDER COMMUNITY IS FIGHTING FOR THEIR RIGHTS. THE MOST WELL KNOWN IS THE FIGHT FOR THEIR BATHROOM RIGHTS.

THIS ISSUE RELATES TO BROWN VS BOARD OF EDUCATION BECAUSE BOTH MINORITY GROUPS ARE FIGHTING FOR THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.
