These Are Among My Most Favorite Things! Katherine Leer

My favorite thing in the whole, wide world is writing! I love to read but, more than that, I love to write. I have been writing for fun since I was eight years-old. Even before that, I told stories through drawings. My dream is to become a published author. For now, I teach English/Language Arts at Industrial High School.

These are some of my favorite drawings. Most of these are based on my characters. Some are designs for characters in fan fictions I have written or started. The marked one in the bottom right is a work in process.

One thing that greatly influences my writing is my love for classic film and Japanese anime. My favorite classic films are Universal's classic monster films, A Star is Born (1936), and Sentimental Journey (starring Maureen O' Hara). My favorite anime are Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, One Piece, and Inuyasha.

I also enjoy Disney's animated features (2D animation is the best)!

I also love to cook! When I was younger, I did not have much of an interest in cooking, though I did love to bake cakes, cookies, and pies. While I still enjoy baking, I enjoy cooking more than ever. The background photo is of my homemade mulligatawny.

Finally, if you were to ask me where I'd rather be right now, it would be at the coast, fishing. Fishing is the pastime I have been taking part in for the longest. I especially love fishing for red fish and speckled trout. My dream is to own a yacht and travel around the world. (That's right! I do dream big!)
