Leif Eriksson was considered by many to be the FIRST to reach North America, he's even commissioned by King Olaf I Tryggvason. After Leif Eriksson discovered christiantity, he spent his efforts to spread it, because King Olaf I Tryggvason commissioned him to do it. Leif Eriksson is Erik the Red's son, a Norse explorer, Leif Eriksson was also a Norse explorer. On his journey he fought the Native Americans.

Leif Eriksson was a Norse explorer in 970 - 1020, he was born in Iceland. He was the son of Erik the Red, Leif Eriksson discovered lands just like his father. The purpose of his expedition was just all about rumors he heard, then he embarked on his journey. On his journey, he faced Native Americans, and found islands. The islands he discovered, and named were "Helluland, "Vinland", "Markland", and "NewFoundLand". He was born in 970 CE, then died in 1020 CE.
