Need For Technology in Soccer Referees Make Too Many Mistakes

This is the famous goal that finally persuaded FIFA to add goal line technology into the sport

But why stop there when there are other tough situations the referees are facing

Edin Džeko's goal was disallowed for offsides when he was actually onsides which led to Bosnia and Herzegovina being knocked out of the 2014 FIFA World Cup

Theirry Henry was not called for the handball which resulted in the game winning goal against Ireland in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain committed the handball offense but his teammate Kieran Gibbs, a defender, was sent off instead

Nigel de Jong was called for kicking Xabi Alonso but was only given a yellow card when it should've been a red card in the 2010 FIFA World Cup

In other sports like basketball and football the referees have the ability to use instant video replay to help them give the correct call

The solution is to add a Independent Video Referee to the sport of soccer to help the referees make the correct calls
