Marco Polo and The Silk Road

The silk road helped spark the renaissance by its increasing of trade with Asia. As the text states, "As more goods became available, prices went down... trade increased." (Holt) this means when the Black Death happened more people died and more goods became available, trade began to grow. In conclusion, the Silk Road help spark the renaissance by its increase of trade.

Movable printing was more easier to than copying hand written.

They would use little blocks and line them up in lines, put the paper on top and it would make the copy.

Copying paper is much easier than hand writing because you don't need that much people and it's faster.

The impact the printing press had on literacy was people could read more. Since it didn't take that much time to copy books anymore books became more available. Much more people could read, and also learn how to read. Before only the church people could read, but now, books became available and people could now read.

Renaissance Writing (William Shakespeare)

William Shakespeare's writing reflected the ideas of humanism because he compares his characters to the people. As stated in the text, " Shakespeare compares people to the actors in a play who should be watched with great interest." This means it also helped the people understand and learn how to read and write. It also
