EARTH DAY 2017 Environmental and Climate Literacy

The Earth Day is an annual commemoration founded by United States Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in first held in 1970. The Earth Day celebration this year, comes off on April 22, 2017. The theme of the celebration is on environmental and climate literacy which is the engine not only for creating green voters and advancing environmental and climate laws and policies but also for accelerating green technologies and jobs.

Purpose and Objectives

WA BiCC will join in the celebration of the Earth Day on social media with various posts from our programs and other relevant articles.

The specific objectives of the event will be to:

1. Educate our audience on the various programs of WA BiCC in relation to the theme.

2. Highlight other articles and works that relates to environmental and climate literacy.

What you can do:

Join the conversation! Help WA BiCC spread the message by:

• Posting on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn about Earth Day and the objectives of the celebration

• Follow WA BiCC’s and partners’ accounts and retweet or like posts.

• Use event hashtags and general hashtags in your posts and tweets.
