College Athletes Pay Them

If college coaches are getting paid, why shouldn't the athletes?

Both coaches and athletes take their sport seriously, yet only coaches are getting paid.
This is where an athlete spends the majority of their time at school. Working hard to better themselves for their sports.
College sports are huge, they bring a large number of fans to college campuses.
The cost of books is ridiculously high.
Athletes often require tutors because they fall behind in their classes.
