REAL ESTATE BROKERS AND SALES AGENTS HELP THEIR CLIENTS BUY, SELL, AND RENT PROPERTIES. BROKERS AND AGENTS MIGHT DO SIMILAR WORK, BUT BROKERS ARE LICENSED TO MANAGE THEIR OWN REAL ESTATE BUSINESSES, WHILE SALES AGENTS MUST WORK WITH A REAL ESTATE BROKER.

Training, Qualifications & Advancement

Real estate brokers and sales agents need at least a high school diploma or equivalent. But, as the real estate market gets more competitive and complex, some employers are preferring to hire people with college courses or a college degree. Also, both brokers and sales agents must be licensed. To become licensed, candidates typically must complete a number of real estate course and pass a licensing exam.

You’re basically self-employed provided that you have all of the qualifications needed to do the job.
