BreakoutEDU Sunridge Middle School

Two days...Two classrooms....7 periods....Two different Breakouts!

Setting up for 14 breakouts in a row took a little time!

It was a challenge for some.

But for their first experience they all had pretty good times.

If we hadn't kept ignoring the hard math problem we would have had a better time!

The pressure really started getting to them - but they pulled it off!

Sometimes it was the quietest observer in the back that made the missing connections!

that was fun!

The box didn't stop them!

was that the fastest time?

Final Thoughts:

With this being 6th grade, The Timekeeper was the perfect curriculum connected Breakout for these students for week one. Week two, we went with The Spyder Heist. We used this activity during a time when 1/3 of the students were away at Outdoor School each week, this allowed for us to use two classrooms at the same time with smaller sized groups of 10 - 15. The smaller the group, the better the challenge went regardless of the mix of students.

I'm excited to see the interest in our region growing and more of these activities popping up!
