My New Career DC Designer

Almost 6 months ago I made the transition from live-aboard captain/sailing instructor to a Kitchen and Bath Interior Designer. Its been a huge roller-coaster transitioning from the sailing life back to the land life... but so far it has been full of new friends and exciting opportunities.

Our Poggenpohl Kitchen Showroom / Design area

One of the perks of designing high end kitchens and baths is that we get sent to appliance showrooms / demonstration facilities where we experience the appliances and fixtures we are specifying in our designs first hand. This includes an hors d'oeuvre exploration of their showroom, cocktail introductions / formal presentation, and a chef prepared 3 course meal made using only their appliances. Some of our favorites include Sub-zero / Wolf, Miele, and Gaggneau.
