Music lessons Guitar, keyboard and recording studio

Research has found that learning music facilitates learning other subjects and enhances skills that children inevitably use in other areas. “A music-rich experience for children of singing, listening and moving is really bringing a very serious benefit to children as they progress into more formal learning,” says Mary Luehrisen, executive director of the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation, a not-for-profit association that promotes the benefits of making music.

GUITAR LESSONS

Our guitar lessons are paced to match your level of learning. Although practice is very important to learning, there is no undue pressure. Most lessons are private (one-on-one) and so there is no pressure to compete with your classmates. We teach lead, rhythm and bass guitar. You have the option to learn using notation or tabulature (tabs). You have the opportunity to learn various styles/genres – Western & Indian.

We also have certificate courses in acoustic and electric guitar. Certification is important to those who want to graduate with a certified endorsement of their playing abilities.

Indian Guitar Lessons

You can accompany, with the guitar, almost any song; be it a bhajan, kirtan, film song, ghazal or even ragas. Indian songs, especially those that are raga based, do not strictly follow standard chord progressions. For those of you who don’t have the patience to learn from ground up; like learning notation, learning all the notes of each string, we might be able to help you get up and singing quickly. The results depend on your interest and dedication, and to some extent, your inborn talent and music ability. While it is good to explore, sometimes too much information from different sources will end up confusing you. If you have chosen to learn from a teacher, trust the teacher and go by whatever he or she suggests.

KEYBOARD LESSONS

Our TWO step approach will make you a keyboard player quickly

STEP1

We use technology to make your learning the keyboard faster. Our initial lessons are taught using the Joy Tunes method of piano learning. This method is both fun and easy for kids and adults alike. We have a teacher’s subscription which allows us to add you in as a free user. Once you reach a certain level of playing you can easily switch to playing most Indian songs on the key board. Nanda is a certified Joy Tunes piano teacher.

STEP 2

Once you have reached a certain level of skill, you can opt to learn Indian film and folk songs (Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada etc.)Each lesson is backed by notation (Western or Sargam) to facilitate practice at home. We provide notation for many of the latest songs and can also notate a song of your choice. To be able to play well and learn quickly, it is important to practice. Many times we are asked this question of how long would it take to learn how to play. The better you practice, the sooner you will learn to play well.

RECORDING STUDIO

Come to us with an idea, a lyric, a vision or a tune and we can turn it into a full blown song. Great for dance studios who want to have original music for their choreography, filmmakers who want to insert foley sound effects into their films, dialog insertion etc. You will love the supportive environment that we can provide to help you achieve your goals

Nanda, who has over 20 years of experience is passionate about music, films and the media in general. He has worked with top-notch artists and also with those taking their first steps in creative endeavors. He is very non-judgemental, patient and well meaning but will offer advice only when asked! That, probably, is his only fault
