HOTGYRL, The Story
LaTeas Lewis, better known in the music industry as HOTGYRL, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actress, and model. Born and raised in South Central, Los Angeles, HOTGYRL began writing music and creating dance routines at the early age of ten. “I was coined HOTGYRL back in 1999 when Hotboy’s single HOTYGYRL came out. I was always with the fellow emcees and would rap every Hotboy song, yet I carried myself like a HOTGYRL.”
During the years that followed, HOTGYRL shared her talents with the world and performed locally, which created quite the media buzz throughout South Central and surrounding areas. In 2018, she was featured on BET Central and 50 Central which led to a performance at the HAPA Awards in 2019.
HOTGYRL’s catalog of music can be heard on FM and internet radio across the globe including Big Boy’s Neighborhood on Real 92.3 LA, and Nick Cannon Mornings on Power 106 FM. Her latest singles “Watch ‘Em”, Corona La’Shay da’virus”, and “In Da Club” continue to top indie charts as well as her “Thotiana” Freestyle. To add to the momentum, HOTGYRL slayed her opportunity to perform live for legendary Hip-Hop pioneer Yo-Yo as well as Famous Dex.
