Why should you hire me? About the photographer, your session & what to expect

"If you're choosing a photographer based on price alone, I can't compete. There are hundreds of photographers who are cheaper than me, without a doubt. But, if you want the best in service and artistry, if you want to be completely taken care of every step of the way and actually see your portraits printed beautifully on your walls - I'm your girl" - Gabby Chung

I love to form a connection with my clients and create magic. I want your photos to have purpose and meaning. I want all of my clients to feel comfortable and beautiful. I am not here to re-create the cliché or do the ordinary. If you want to create extraordinary magic, I am your photographer.

About the artist:

Me & my little pride & joy.

Hi!

I'm Kaleigh.

(Kay-lee)

I graduated with a BFA in Photography from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2014.

I have been taking photos since high school, where I picked up an interest in film photography but never thought I was good enough to pursue photography as a career. After spending 3 years at the University of Oklahoma studying Film Production, I followed my heart to Colorado and changed my major to Photography. I was born and raised in Oklahoma, but I've always had roots in Colorado. As long as I have my dog and the mountains, I am home.

Session Pricing:

Portrait sessions = $250* for 1 hour

(Couples, Families, Seniors, etc.)

*additional fees required for more than 5 people per group and/or traveling outside a 25 mile radius of Colorado Springs.

Print packages are customizable. Clients typically invest anywhere from $200 - $500 in wall art & print products.

All purchases 16x20 and larger receive the matching high-resolution digital file.

Digital files are NOT included in the retainer fee but can be purchased a la carte.

All portrait sessions come with a free consultation. I'd love to meet with you over coffee (my treat!), to go over package options and to show you the heirloom quality products that I offer. It is important to make sure you feel comfortable with your photographer before you step in front of the lens!

All my work is 100% satisfaction guaranteed and all of my products come with a lifetime warranty.

About your session:

Planning, What to expect, etc.

  • Q: What should you wear? A: Stay away from bright, neon colors & bold patterns unless already specified with the photographer. Generally, neutral colors and small prints (plaids, polka dots, etc.) are OK. Always wear something you feel comfortable in. Also take into consideration that some locations may require a different type of shoe to get to. I am always here to guide you through your wardrobe choices if you'd like!
  • Q: How long will it take to receive my photos? A: Expect to see previews popping up on social media the following days, unless otherwise specified or arranged with the photographer. Generally, all portrait sessions will be received within 7-10 days. Weddings typically take 1-2 months due to the sheer volume of photos received.
  • Q: Where are we taking photos? A: That's entirely up to you! They are your photos! I am happy to lend my guidance for local areas but always keep in mind that some areas may require a permit to shoot at. In that case, it usually isn't a problem, I just need to know some time in advance to arrange it. I am always seeking those who want to hike and travel to new adventurous locations for the perfect shot.
  • Q: When can I schedule a session? A: If you are in the Colorado Springs area, I am usually available within a few days notice for a portrait session. Sometimes even less; it never hurts to ask! Time of day is crucial for outdoor photos, as some of you may be familiar with golden hour. Golden hour is the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset, when the light just gives everything that beautiful, golden glow that is perfect for portraits. Shooting during the day in open sunlight will guarantee harsh shadows that even the best editor and the best equipment sometimes can't fix.
