Working Title A joureny through my POP-ART SCULPTURE BOOK

This is one of Romero Britto's works, I feel like it exhibits his extensive use of colors and patterns.

March 10, 2017: Today we are beginning to plan our layouts for our pop art sculpture books. We need to choose an artist, and have our work inspired by them. My table researched Romero Britto and I ended up really liking his work. His colors were more unique than just the primary colors, plus he incorporated really interesting patterns into bigger pictures. I'm not sure how Ms.McCall will feel about my designs, but I actually like a couple of them.

This is my first 6 sketches, Ms. McCall told me to add more lines to make my designs more abstract so I will be working on 3 full page sketches with more lines.

March 14, 2017: My plan for today is to complete my 3 full page sketches, I need to add more lines to improve my designs. I also need to add color, but I'm not sure if I need to choose a specific color scheme, because it seems like Romero Britto didn't follow a specific one, which is part of the reason I really like his work.

March 20, 2017: The plan for today is to create the cover for our book. I am worried because I haven't completed my 3 full page sketches so I'm concerned I'm falling behind. The essential question for today is "How will I (the student) transfer one of my designs to create a book cover that represents the artist I chose?" I am concerned about the time line of this project, I feel like I didn't have ample time to complete my sketches and I am unsure of the due date of this project. The end of the quarter is quickly approaching and if the project is due at the end of the quarter I don't know how I am going to finish.

This was my cover on March 20, 2017

March 22, 2017: I have been working on my cover during husky time and I am still behind everyone else. I am so worried about staying on track with this project, I want it to look good, but my design is so time consuming. Although I am stressed, I do like how my project is starting to look, I am excited for the final product's turnout.

March 24, 2017: Today I need to color my cover and hopefully set it up on the mat board. I had to take my project home, I really wish I could accomplish more in a class period but I work too slowly to stay on track. We still haven't started the pages for our book and I am worried about completing them by next week.
