Early Life and Accomplishments

Carlos Santana picked up his first violin at age 5, however by age 8 Santana switched to the guitar. As a teenager Santana played in bands around Mexico, until he formed the Santana Blues Band. The bands music incorporated rock with a Latin feel, and Afro-Cuban rythems.

Carlos Santana was and is a huge influence on guitar players around the world. If you ask any electric guitar player who Santana is, they will know. Carlos Santana was an American musician who made it into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Santana also won 3 Latin Grammy awards, and 8 Grammy awards in 2000.

Carlos Santana was an American musician who first began preforming in Mexico. He is globaly known for his guitar playing skills. His music is a combination of blues, rock, and jazz, including a Latin feel with Afro-Cuban rythems. Carlos Santana's music is listened to by people all over the world, and every electric guitar player in the world knows exactly who Santan is.

Revolution

Carlos Santana was/is tied to revolutions because he was one of the musicians to help bring rock and roll to Latin America. Rock and roll music became more popular and common in Latin America thanks to not only Santana, but other artists too.
