you are the salt of the earth you are the God flavoring in the world

Our themes in Sunday School and in worship this week revolve around being of use to others. We saw Jesus use his gifts to calm the storm on the Galilee. We heard how we are to be the light in this world and the God-flavoring in our relationships. Yes, we go through daily routines that seem mundane. Everyone does, whether or not they are Christians. What makes us different is the love of Christ that we have to pass on through our every day interactions.

This week, we have passages from various parts of the New Testament. Help your child find them in your Bible. Read them aloud together. What jumps out at you? Write it or draw it on sticky notes and display them this week.

As you read bedtime stories or listen to the news, keep your ears out for ways that people share the love of Christ with others. Add the information to your sticky note collection. God is still speaking!
