Food In School Change (Until Further Notice)
As we grow more and more aware of the number of food allergies and sensitivities in our schools, we need to make sure our students wellbeing takes a front seat. With that being said, until an official policy comes to us from the District Policy Subcommittee, we will not have any food in school for celebrations (holiday parties, birthdays, etc...). I know the timing of this change is poor, especially considering that many food permission slips have already gone home and been returned, but this change is being applied district-wide as of this week.
I have no doubt that our teaching staff will still find many ways to celebrate the holidays (and the student accomplishments) creatively next week, even without food. Thank you for understanding.

Please don’t forget that we need your 5th graders' baby picture for the yearbook!
You can post at anytime by going to https://www.jrb-pta.org/yearbook to create or access your account then navigate to – Shared photos folder – 5th Grade Who is that Baby Folder. Do remember to tag your 5th grader to their photo but do not put their name in the caption, we don’t want to give anyone away.
Yearbook committee volunteers are needed!
If you are interested in participating, please reach out to Tiffani Sell at firstname.lastname@example.org. We may have 1 quick meeting to center on this, however, all work that is needed can be done at home; the only requirement is a computer.
