Drummond Prog Rock Guitarist

Drummond Kincannon is a senior studying jazz guitar at the at SUNY Purchase's music conservatory. Some of is biggest influences are Chon, Plini, Intervals, and Protest the Hero. Two years ago he released his debut EP "Getting Comfortable" which reached the top of the Prog Rock charts on Bandcamp.

Getting Comfortable is a four track EP Drummond composed in his bedroom, and recorded in various locations on and off campus with his band. This project moved him to start seriously thinking about concepts of sound production, and sonic spaces. One of the most exciting parts of the recording process was collaborating with one of his guitar idols, Sithu Aye. Sithu soloed on the fourth track "Ecotone". The recording process took about one year and was a collection of songs he had been writing for the past three years at school.

One fan commented on "Getting Comfortable" saying "Ever go for a walk outside, observe your surroundings, take a deep breath, and get that "happy to be alive" feeling? That's what Drummond captures in his songwriting."

Live show at Producer Jake Finman's House in Croton on the Hudson NY.

Drummond is now writing, and recording for his next release. He plans to continue to collaborate with his band members as well as various heroes in the Prog Rock scene. You can plan on seeing more music from Drummond at the end of 2017.
