Spring Washam Teacher healer author

“There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.” Buddha

I've always felt a great connection to spirit. Over the years I've searched and explored and am grateful that I can share my life's passion with others. I've studied meditation practices and Buddhist philosophy since 1997, studying under some of the most preeminent meditation masters in both the Theravada and Tibetan schools of Buddhism. I am now a dharma teacher based in Oakland, California. I'm also a founding member and core teacher at the East Bay Meditation Center located in downtown Oakland.

One of my projects that is very dear to my heart, is Lotus Vine Journeys. This is an organization that blends indigenous healing practices with Buddhist wisdom. I currently organize and facilitate Ayahausca retreats in Peru. This is a place that touches my heart. I work with students individually from around the world. I've also completed a six -year teacher-training program under the guidance of Jack Kornfield and am now on the teacher’s council at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, California.

My passions also include being a healer, facilitator, spiritual activist (I'm committed to enriching the lives of disenfranchised people everywhere) and more recently, a writer. My upcoming book entitled, A Fierce Heart “Finding Strength, Wisdom, and Courage in Any Moment” will be released in October of 2017.
